Obituary of Beryl L. Theis

Beryl was born in Tenstrike, MN and passed peacefully at her home in Tacoma, WA, surrounded by her devoted caregivers of 10 years (Passion for Care). She was 96. Beryl lived a full active life which included many sports and outdoor activities during her childhood, working on radios in Army tanks during WWII in Germantown, PA, and working as an X-Ray Tech, first in Sacramento, CA, then in San Francisco. While there, in 1954, she married the love of her life, Gilbert "Gib" Theis, and moved to the Tacoma area with him. There she continued her work in X-Ray at Tacoma Radiology (TRA) for about 30 more years. Beryl and Gib enjoyed travelling, sports, bowling, golfing, playing bridge and spending time with family and numerous lifelong friends. Beryl is preceded to God's kingdom by her husband, Gib; both parents, Joseph & Beth Herrmann; an infant sister, Lorraine; two brothers, Joseph and Walter; and her twin sister, Sister Gemma. She is survived by four sisters-in-law, Neacy and Bernie Hermann, Lee Cole, and Myrtle Carlson and her lead caregiver, Lisa Patterson, who was like a daughter to her.
